Sunday School

Being part of a Sunday School class is a great way of getting to know other followers of Jesus, receive good Bible teaching, and participate in a group that’s learning about the Christian faith. There are over 20 different classes to choose from.

Sunday Morning Classes

Next Step

Location: Teen House
Ages: Young Adults
Class Size: Small
 
A class for any person who has graduated High School and is looking for information on how to make the “Next Step” in their life and to take that Next Step including Christ in their future.

Discovery Class

Location: Family Life Center – Fellowship Hall
Ages: All
Class Size: Medium 
 
The discovery class is taught by co-teachers, Bob and Pam Hoppe. This class is open to all ages because the Hoppe’s believe the older can teach the younger and vice versa. They usually study a book of the Bible at a time and occasionally they will watch a video series over important and current interest. (They are also known to have the best Sunday morning breakfast selection.)

Circle of Friends

Location: Basement – Main Building
Ages: 48-70
Class Size: Medium 
 
Circle of Friends is a class for all adults as we have an open forum where Christian living in our today world is discussed. We currently use the Nazarene quarterly and studying from the Old Testament. We have studied the books of Acts, Daniel, and the Charitable Discourse book by Dan Boone. Our class events are not held often, but many take part in Prime Time events.

Friendship

Location: Basement – Main Building
Ages: 48-70
Class Size: Medium 
 
This class features Bible study and discussion, based on Nazarene WordAction adult curriculum, with the goal of engaging the mind as well as the heart. This is a multi-generational class. Though most of its members are senior adults, several are middle age adults. Everyone is welcome. In addition to the Sunday morning lessons, the class sponsors a fellowship breakfast once a month at a local restaurant. The class sponsors a child through Nazarene Compassionate Ministries.

Millennial Bible Class

Location: Basement – Main Building
Ages: Adults w/ Young Children
Class Size: Medium
 
Our goal is to be a place of growth, inspiration, encouragement, love and resources. We want this group to do everything it can to grow you in your relationship with Christ and to grow your family. Part of the plan for this group is to be hand on Christians to serve the community in which we live so once a quarter we will also be involved in a service project which could be anything from a coat drive to feeding the homeless to doing some needed work for another church that doesn’t have the resources.

Sunday Night Small Groups

Special Studies

Location: Basement – Main Building
Ages: All 
Class Size: Small
 
Rev. Curtis Martin from Manford Church of the Nazarene joins with a small group of people who are interested in a casual study of relevant topics. This special topics class includes material that address a current or timely topic, it is based on participant interest. Topics recently discussed have been world religions and church history. 

Praise Celebration

Location: Sanctuary – Main Building
Ages: 48-70
Class Size: Medium
 
Praise Celebration is a Sunday evening small group in a traditional format. We start by singing hymns and gospel songs & chorus’, sharing testimony’s and prayer. Then a lesson from the Word with questions and discussion. All ages are welcome to participate.
